Practical Details

Welcome to Wise and Curious

What happens?

How do residents engage?

How do residents engage?

Each session runs for 45–60 minutes and is built around one clear theme (e.g.  memory, home, fairness, friendship, courage, regret, love, identity, change).

The facilitator introduces one big, meaningful question — often supported by a brief stimulus (an image, a story read aloud, or prompt cards) — and guides the group to explore it together.

The session invites residents to draw on their own experience, to notice patterns in their thinking, to test assumptions (their own and others’), and sometimes to revise a long-held  judgement in the light of new perspective.

Vulnerability and Safety

Wise and Curious makes room for vulnerability — honest talk about love, regret, family, fear, pride, grief, and change — without ever pushing anyone to share. In practice, this means people can share as much or as little as they choose, and what’s shared is met with warm recognition: attentive listening, respectful responses, and a facilitator who protects the tone of the room.

Why it matters

Wise and Curious helps to teach easily applicable 'Thinking Tools' in an approachable and engaging way. Over time, this supports stronger connections, better communication, and higher cognitive engagement.

Often, people leave these sessions feeling refreshed, fulfilled, and quietly joyful.
